NS BC06 at CP 21st Street

Effective today at 0900 hours, the internal signal components have been replaced with LED's at CP 21st Street. The masts as seen here remain, just new guts to the signals.

Here is a picture of CP 21st Street about a month ago. Seen here is NS BC06 with one of the Norfolk Southern eco locomotives for power, trundling back east, (geographically south,) after servicing Continental Paper, which is adjacent to the Amtrak 14th Street Yard. In the background, we see the iconic Chicago skyline with the Sears Tower soaring out of the frame. To give perspective, the tallest building in this photo, 311 South Wacker Drive is 961 feet feet tall, or according to Google, 65 stories tall, (also it's the tallest building in the US to only be know by its street address.) 21st Street is where the present day CN Freeport sub crosses Amtrak, (former, if I remember correctly, Chicago and Western Indiana, and Pennsylvania Railroad.) The interlocking, and lift bridge, are controlled by the Amtrak CUS South Train Director.
