Infinity War Prelude: Some thoughts and brief reviews
I’ve read both issues, including the second one which dropped today. The last issue (SPOILERS if you haven’t read it yet), shows an update of what the heroes are up to, like Bucky’s brainwashing being rebooted in Wakanda, Cap, Falcon, and Black Widow going on covert missions, Stark by himself, Wanda and Vision in Europe and etc. I love the art in issue #1, which is pretty cool. It also shows the life of other characters who didn’t appear post Civil War yet. I’ll give it a 8/10 for this.
What’s more interesting is, this issue features Doctor Strange and Wong as the main characters, and giving a recap of some movies, but mostly it’s those that feature the stones. Thor was aware of the situation as he mentioned in AoU, and so are the Masters of the Mystic Arts. There are flashbacks to Red Skull wielding the Tesseract; but it’s putting a step to show he’s possibly alive? Then it goes to Loki....the Battle of New York and etc. The Aether was used by Malekith during the Dark World as part of Convergence, The Orb from Ronan (now kept by the Nova Corps), Vision’s forehead, and the Time Stone now I’m possession of Doctor Strange.
This leaves the question to where is the Soul Stone. Despite being its first canon appearance, Wong says it’s the most dangerous stone out of all the others. There’s even some language on the book, but I don’t understand it. (I liked this issue as well, I’ll give it a 8.5/10)
I saw theories connecting back to Heimdall’s eyes, the supernatural connection in Black Panther, and maybe the orange planet in the beginning shot of the IW trailer.
So guys, what do you think? Any ideas or more theories?
