Sharpverse Ant-Man

Ant-Man: When Bruce Banner was working on a gamma experiment, which was funded by the government, Rick Jones (whose origin story remains the same) stumbled across the site when he dared he friend to drive across the test site. Unfortunately for Rick, the test was about to commence and Banner raced across to save the young man's life. Rick was pushed into a safe trench and Banner was imbued with gamma radiation, killing him.

Several years later, Rick worked as a musician and as a radio host. It was revealed that even sheltered, the gamma affected him, increasing his learning abilities and intelligence. He took in computing afterwards, which made him a skilled hacker in technology in security.

Rick's skills caught the eye of Hank Pym, who asked him to try stealing his Ant-Man suit, to which Rick agreed to the challenge. Instead of burgling, he hacked into the mainframe of the suit, and the suit was brought to him automatically. Rick used the suit and helmet, allowing him to shrink and control ants. Hank was pleased and told him the truth about Banner, who was both friends with him and they had worked on the Ant-Man suit before his death, Rick then responded that he had been feeling guilty for indirectly causing his death.

Soon Hank left to work elsewhere and allowed Rick to keep the suit, leaving his protege, Scott Lang, in charge. Rick now works as a freelance hacker, occasional musician and talk host while also being the Ant-Man.

Age: 25

Powers: Rick possesses no superpowers, except for his increased intelligence and learning/mental capacity. He has received training in combat and possesses skills in computer hacking. He is also a accomplished guitarist, driver, talk show host and songwriter. His Ant-Man suit allows him to communicate with insects and contact people through the helmet, and granting him super strength, super durability and shrinking down. The utility belt possesses Pym particles disks, allowing Rick to throw at things that could grow or shrink.

Weaknesses: Guilty over Bruce Banner's death, the suit is lacking armoured pants and boots, which Rick is wearing civilian pants instead. The lack of ability to grow is still in development by Hank Pym and co.
