Arcane Legion Issue #1: The Night of Red
Since I said that AL would come out in November, and it's only a day past Halloween, I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to write Arcane Legion, a sci fi dark fantasy action horror series, as part of the Multi Sharp universe. Enjoy!
For centuries, they called me the Blind Warlock. The people I know only refer to me as Lockhart.
But my real name is unknown, even to me, I could barely remember it. All of this remains a mystery until today.
Casted out, I set forth on the journey to fight ghouls, conjure demons, stake vampires and kill evil spirits---, I needed help even I could fight alone, until I met these two special young people, a woman with the power of harnessing and controlling electricity, and the other, a man who can create metal and make weapons from his body. These powers, associated with weather and the elements, would prove to be formidable in magic, which I would teach them.

Sanford: Good thing your brother approved of this.
Drew: I knew Trent would allow me to do this stuff. But recently he's always been busy and I've been unable to reach him.
Sanford: Maybe another time.
Lockhart: We must proceed. The demon's body requires further dissecting. But be careful, the blood could be acidic. Sanford, hand me a knife, please. You can use your own to help if you can
Sanford: Okay. But I have sense where it's from.
Drew: It's charred though...
Sanford: I've gotta identify it. Could be a water demon.
Lockhart *places hand*: Wind demon. Blood is grey, gas like. Most likely to dissipate after that--
D.A.V.E.: *interruption*: Mr Lockhart, detection of sky just turning red.
Lockhart: No.
Drew: Something catastrophic's happening? Or just lethal?
Lockhart: Either one, both or something else. Expect the unexpected. While the sky can be blue or just regular weather as usual to humans and superhumans, to us red is only visible to us magic users. If a magic user's senses go very wrong, then it has to be serious.
D.A.V.E.: Multiple demons detected.
Drew: Here in Chicago? Right now?
D.A.V.E:, Yes, Ms Shephard.
Drew: Just call me Drew.
Lockhart: I'll conjure a portal. D.A.V.E., keep the house invisible.
D.A.V.E: Understood, Mr. Lockhart.
And soon, after my spell works, a portal opens, leading us into a heavy fight....
