Dark Angel Tactical Squad 3rd Company (#10)
Back when I first go into 40K and decided the Dark Angels were my 'Legion' of choice I bought a 'job lot' of Warhammer 40K miniatures from Gumtree, I got a whole bunch of miniatures and O.O.D. codexis inc' the Black Reach Space Marines, these had been terribly abused with paint but after a little TLC I got them stripped- however I was always one man short of a 10 man tac' team so I have finally painted a marine up to join the other nine members.This be that marine. I am quite pleased with this miniature as it demonstrates my progress over the past twelve months or so of painting. My original Tac' team members look a little basic and shoddy next to this guy but that's to be expected and just highlights my learning curve. I hope the next year will bring more improvements! Just as a note while I was painting the helmet lenses on this marine it made me think back to my original squad and the trouble I was experiencing painting the lenses- I struggled to get even a thin strip of paint in there never mind three colours- it is true what they say- you live and learn!
