The RheinEnergieSTADION is more than just the setting for the home matches of 1. FC Köln. Along with the Geissbockheim training ground, it is like a second home. With one of the best atmospheres in all of Germany, it is an experience like no other.
The RheinEnergieSTADION is located in the Müngersdorf area of Cologne, on the same location as the previous Müngersdorfer Stadion. A new FC stadium was constructed in 1975, before the stadium of today was built between 2002 and 2004 in time for the Germany World Cup in 2006. The stadium has about 50,000 seats.
The rectangular form of the stadium with the four steel towers has become one of the symbols of the city.

Das RheinEnergieStadion ist für den 1. FC Köln mehr als nur der Austragungsort seiner Heimspiele. Es ist das zweite Zuhause des FC, neben dem Geißbockheim – und sicher eins der schönsten und stimmungsvollsten Stadien der Republik.
Das RheinEnergieStadion liegt im Kölner Stadtteil Müngersdorf. Sein Vorläufer war das 1923 an gleicher Stelle erbaute Müngersdorfer Stadion. 1975 wurde es neu errichtet, bevor von 2002 bis 2004 das heutige Stadion für die Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2006 entstand. Das Stadion fasst knapp 50.000 Zuschauer.
Komplett überdacht ist das Stadion mit seiner eckigen Form und den vier leuchtenden Stahltürmen zu einem weiteren Wahrzeichen der Stadt Köln geworden.
