German industrial conglomerate Krupp started vehicle production in 1919 producing trucks and buses. After WW2, the vehicle division of Krupp used the new "Südwerke" brand as the Krupp name had negative connotations because of the company's involvement in the weapons industry. From 1954 on, the Krupp name was used again, but in 1968, the parent company decided to stop truck production.
