Before the coup day to day life of a Eurasian citizen was relatively calm and peaceful, massive wealth from economic booms had benefited the citizens who mostly lived middle income lives. Under Eurasian Socialism most had access to basic social services such as healthcare and education while enjoying a moderate amount of internet and press freedom. Yet following the coup this changed. The state was corporatized with Ansui absorbing most of the state run companies seeking to turn the country into an efficient labor force for their global domination prospects. Funds were diverted away from healthcare, infastructure, and education and poured into the military and industrial projects. Ansui Governance oversaw the industrialization and exploitation of Siberia and Central Asia, this mass gain in material resources fueled their grip over the state. mass surveillance networks were set up, the workforce of the state police was doubled, a permanent state of emergency was declared giving the police and military unlimited jurisdiction while removing the need for warrants or courts, mass purges occurred of all communists or socialists still remaining in the country. All military members were subject to moderate to extensive brain washing and neural augmentation, on top of an additional 300,000 being mobilized to fight the remnant government in Taiwan and rebellion in Japan.
The average citizen went from living a quiet life to a near dystopia, with almost no recourse to fight due to how effective and brutal the state police and survaillence were. The internet was permanetly shut off in the country and all cell and text data from the cell networks were fed into a hub that automatically analyzed and flagged any and all dissenting mentions. Those found guilty of crimes began near permanent slaves of the state with indefinite prison sentences so that they may serve as an additional free workforce for the Ansui government. The swift brutal takeover of the entire nation by Ansui sent shockwaves throughout the world but their was almost nothing that could be done. Limited support was extended to the Eurasian govt in exile now located in Taiwan and Singapore, but the vast power the Ansui corporation now possessed was sent into supernova when in control of the largest nation in the history of the world.
