Cheshire Matterhorn.

The early morning sun catching the slopes of Shutlingsloe from The Roaches.

We've had 0.5cm of snow overnight and it's caused chaos on the local transport. No trains, roads closed etc. Usual nonsense when we get snow in the UK.

Not here for complaining about our infrastructure, I'm here for the British tongue in cheek humour, specifically the names of the legion of gritters that hit the roads.

Some names I've heard this morning....

Spreddie Van Halen

Buzz Iceclear

David Plowie

Spread Sheeran

Roger Spreaderer

Gritney Spears

Basil Salty

Gritty Gritty Bang Bang

I Came, I Thaw, I Conquered

Usain Salt

Gritter Thunberg

Snowbi-Wan Kenobi

Gritty McGritface

And my personal favourite,

Gritsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Anti-Slip Machiney
