Higger Heather.

The heather in the Peak District is looking fab this year. Missed it last year. I've had a few visits so far and will hopefully squeeze in one more before the colour fades.

I called in on Thursday evening to break the journey back from Flamborough up. I opted for Over Owler Tor as it's only a short walk up from Surprise View car park. Probably 30-40 of us dotted around and at least two workshops going on. Bumped in to a couple of people who I've never met before but have admired their work for some time. Always nice to put faces to names.

Looked promising early on but the cloud quickly passed leaving clear skies.

For once getting an image took a back seat as we chatted away with only half an eye on what was going on.

The light soon went and as we made our way down we passed 20 or so people making their way up eager to take advantage of the clear skies to capture the peak of the Perseid meteor shower.

This is three images focus stacked but what little cloud there was, was fast moving and PS struggled to align the clouds so the sky is replaced from one of the three images. That's allowed isn't it?

If you can, try to get here because the heather is looking so good.
