Sunrise, and the wind is hitting its peak, storm Ciara is full on. In some parts, hitting gusts of 90mph. It was really tricky to take any sort of picture. At one point I let go of my tripod to get a filter out of the bag and the whole kit and caboodle blew forward, luckily it had a soft landing on the seagrass in front. Phew....

 

This image is 1/13 of a second and the grass has movement in it, I took some really long exposures, one 500 seconds, the grass looks completely still ?!?!? I expected it to be almost invisible.

Is there anyone clever enough to tell me the science behind that.

Could it be the grass goes back to its natural place so many times in that 500 seconds that it shows up as stationary ?
