Amtrak 184
Amidst all the hype for the 50th Anniversary units and the ALC-42s, Amtrak's 40th Anniversary fleet is still rolling.
The 184 is looking a little worn and tired. The ALC-42s are slowly making their entrance into service, marking a changing of the guard.
Of the 40th & 50th Anniversary schemes, 184 is the only one to wear a scheme prototypical to the "Genesis" locomotives. I've had many encounters with 184 over the years, so it was almost like seeing an old friend.
This day's Empire Builder departed St Cloud 5hrs & 1min late.
