Blue Roundhead

Blue Roundhead / stropharia caerulea. Pioneer Meadows, Derbyshire. 15/10/19.

An image I made on the first day I discovered the Blue Roundheads. It shows the largest fruiting body in the group of eight which is listing to one side in the waterlogged ground.

The cap was fully open and had peaked it‘s prime. You can see that the central area had changed colour to a brownish-ochre tone. Also, the slimy cap covering had dried there too, leaving a more glutinous membrane.
