Fallow Deer
Fallow Deer / dama dama. Bradgate Park, Leicestershire. 10/10/18.
‘TIME OUT’.
This buck had removed himself from the rutting frenzy and found a shady place to rest up. In my brief time with him I couldn’t see any obvious injuries, so concluded he was just exhausted. Two quick pictures and I left him in peace.
Later that day I saw him feeding alone in the big field…perhaps it was only his pride that was wounded following defeat in a recent battle!
