Snowy Inkcap DSC_9356
Snowy Inkcap / coprinopsis nivea. Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire. 12/10/17.
48 hours after finding a group of newly emerged Snowy Inkcaps in Clumber Park, this is how some of them looked.
When viewed large, you can see the exquisite grey and black tonal pattern on the margin of the cap. I am assuming that the caps inroll and stems droop downwards first, before the deliquescent process begins with this particular inkcap species? Any extra information about this would be much appreciated.
