Whilst waiting patiently for Waxwings to fly down to a favoured Rowan tree, I was entertained by a steady stream of Redwings and Blackbirds. The latter were the boldest tolerating pedestrians, by-standers and constant noisy traffic moving close by.
It was Blackbirds that usually perched in full view on the remaining berry laden branches, perfect for image making.
Ironically, when Waxwings put in a few fleeting visits, they opted for higher branches in the centre or back of the tree. A perfect example of Sod's Law and it was very, very frustrating!
