Memorial Wir haben Gesichter (English: We have faces), Viktoriapark, Berlin-Kreuzberg.

Text on the stele (translation):

We have faces

We have eyes

We have hands and fists

We have dreams

We are in mourning

We have laughter

We have anger

We live

In spite of all

We fight

For respect for women

And

Justice

Text on the diagonal plaque (translation):

Here, on the night of March 18-19, 2002, a woman was raped by two men. One of many. Any rape is humiliation and torture. Male violence and misogyny is a war on women. Rape of women and girls occurs everywhere, most often in the home setting. The patriarchy creates hierarchical and exploitative relationships of men against women. Sexism is violence against women in everyday life and in the state. Wherever we feel, see, hear about violence - we will defend ourselves, not remain silent! With the decision of each individual and the power and diversity of the women's movement and with Feminist resistance, we will abolish patriarchy and end sexism. Solidarity • Resistance • Public!
