Presumably returning from a wedding hire on the Wirral, having just exited the Birkenhead Tunnel. This 1965 Leyland PD2 / East Lancs was new to Stockport whose livery would be a better match to the current operator's fleetname rather than the Stratford Blue scheme it was recently acquired in.
