cloontia tractor run 26 /10/2014

derrinabrocns.scoilnet.ie/blog/ A vintage car, tractor and motorbike run took place on Sunday 26th of October in aid of the St. Colman’s NS Derrinbrock. The run departed Cloontia a t 12 o’clock and travelled a route through Cloontia, Doocastle, Rooskey, Carracastle, Palmfield, Derrinacartha before returning to Cloontia for a food, refreshments, a raffle and an auction in the Old Forge... The motorbikes and cars travelled through Gurteen, Monasteraden & Ballaghaderreen before returning to Cloontia via Derrinacartha.

Thanks to everyone to helped make the inaugural tractor, car and bike run a huge success last Sunday. Well done to all the 77 drivers who took part in the run .... A special thanks to all the people and local businesses who donated towards the event as well as the auction and raffle. Just over €4100 was raised for St. Colman’s NS, Derrinabroc. Thanks also to everyone who volunteered to organise and run the event and to the large crowd who turned up to watch it. Thanks Liam and Heather in the Old Forge as well as Christine and Margaret who provided a wonderful spread of food on the day.
