DC-10

This huge DC-10 airplane was skillfully dropping tons of fire retardant on the Silverado mountains in hopes of containing the fire. With much of the brush never burning in the area before, there was plenty of fuel for this fire. Without these DC-10's and other aircraft, it would have been nearly impossible to save this canyon.
