Hammersbach, Bavaria, Grainau

The Hammersbach is about 7 km long , right tributary of the Loisach . Together with the Krepbach which opens into the Hammersbach in Grainau district Schmölz , he drains the northwestern part of the Wetterstein mountains , the northern flanks of the Zugspitze and the Waxensteins , as well as the Höllental . The Hammerbach itself arises from the melting waters of the Höllental Ferners and flows through time and partially seeps into the rubble , the Höllentalkar and then plunges as a waterfall over the so-called ' board' in the Höllental . He passes through the Höllentalklamm and Maximilian Klamm . Once the Hammerbach leaves the area of the Wetterstein and enters the Partnach , the valley becomes wider and wooded. In the district of Hammersbach Grainauer of Hammersbach enters here about 2 km wide valley of the Loisach and finally empties into Schmölz , near the western entrance to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Loisach .
