Homeless Glass Bird

"Literary fiction, mainstream fiction, non-genre fiction or serious fiction is a label that, in the book trade, refers to market novels that do not fit neatly into an established genre (see genre fiction); or, otherwise, refers to novels that are character-driven rather than plot-driven, examine the human condition, use language in an experimental or poetic fashion, or are simply considered "serious" art."

My short stories are mainly 'character-driven' indeed, as I draw from the source of real life, real people and real feelings.

This image was 'done' while visiting a place where I practically grew up and never been for the last 50 years. The feeling of walking the same paths and seeing the same sights were overwhelming indeed...Here some more of the 'intended' novel called 'Glass Bird'

In the aftermath of allegory of things, a little bird found herself in a strange land, and knowing the fact that her days were shortened by means of meridian laws, she lost everything she had. Inside she was as empty as an empty water bucked clinging to it's rope and making that squeaky, empty sound...One day she tried to fly to her homeland, south that is, but could not. Her wings, just as her heart and soul, were now made of shattered glass.

Forever looking towards South and forever wishing to fly home...b.mikic

For all of 'those' who tell sweet lies but lose all the time as they look in the wrong places. Homeland is the only right place...b.mikic
