Legends of Two Eras
These paintings depict two eras in the history of the Cincinnati Reds. On the left is the Great Eight of the Big Red Machine that won World Series titles in 1975 and 1976. On the right is The First Nine, the players on the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings team that went 57-0 in becoming the first professional baseball team in history. The mosaics are located in a concourse of Great American Ball Park just beyond the front entrance from Crosley Terrace.
The gold woman at right is real person, not a statue and will pose with you for selfies.
