Rails Left Behind

The former Monon Railroad street running is a thing of the past, but in removing the rails the city left behind one section of track in front of the ex-Monon passenger station, which is out of view to the right. The street running down Fifth Street was a feature of Lafayette for decades until the last train used the route in July 1994.
