The Original Frontier
Frontier Airlines is today known for putting animals on the tails of its aircraft. But in an earlier time, Frontier was a local service carrier that had a hub in Denver. It flew Boeing 737 and 727 jets on a route between St. Louis and Denver. A 737 reposes at the gate at Lambert Field in St. Louis as a TWA L-1011 Tri Star taxis toward its gate in the background.
