This concrete base once supported the westbound home signal for an Erie Lackawanna (nee Erie Railroad) line in Leavittsburg, Ohio. Trains on these rails would be approaching SN Tower whee the Youngstown bypass met up with the passenger route via Youngstown. West of SN the Erie divided into routes to Cleveland and Chicago.
