Peony Hugs
I mixed the "Love" challenge over at the Ton (thetonchallenge.wordpress.com/) with the SSSFlickrchallenge (Anything Goes) for this card. I love these layered peonies. I tried something a little different by doing the most detailed layer in Versamark and then embossing with a colored embossing powder. Adds some dimension and sparkler. It's hard to see, but i also did a clear layer of embossing powder of the soft pool glass bowl since I figured glass should be shiny.
I wanted to keep the sentiment pretty simple, so I pulled out this great word die from SSS. I love the handwritten look. I stacked 3 layers of the die to pop it up a bit. Used SSS grays for a square card base.
And the SSS Wednesday Challenge this week is all about florals, so I'm also entering over there.
The Ton products: Fresh Cut Peonies
Simon Says Stamp Products: Painted Hugs Die; Smoke and Fog cardstock
