The Last Homely House

I drove up to Buttermere after work one day last week, parked at Gatesgarth Farm and climbed up to Warnscale Bothy, hoping for a clear evening and some beautiful soft light filling the valley.

 

I got a bank of cloud that rolled in unexpectedly and sat over the whole area for the rest of the evening.

 

Ahh well, you can't win 'em all - and it was a useful recce for future trips.

 

This was one of the better shots I got - nothing spectacular, but a nice 'record' shot.
