CIDNA's Farman Jabiru F-AHAF "Colonel Gilbert CASSE"

F-AHAF was, at First, a Farman Airplane from the F.4X series, then modified into F.120T Model and, finally, in a F.3X.

The Whole in the Space of 3 months !

Here's the original four-engined Version, operated by CIDNA, Le Bourget with the first, white, Markings; she made her first Flight 21/02/1925 u. Num.1343

 

Crashed near Balaci, Romania, 29/05/1925, she was scrapped, but Withdrawal is only registred 12/1931.

Under her Name, the writing "Directeur du Service de la Navigation Aérienne" is a second homage to Gilbert CASSE, aeronautical Engineer-in-Chief and Director of the Air Navigation Service, who died suddenly from a Peritonitis, october 1924.
