"Commitment"
This is a different take on portraits but still using the black and white theme. I asked each model to think of the first word they associate with 'relationships' and then to write it down and be photographed with it. i also got them to use a colour pen of their choice and i used the history tool on photoshop to re-add the colour to the word after i had desaturated it. I wanted to make the word a different colour to make it attract attention from the viewer. This model is my dad and he chose the word commitment and the colour blue. From research i know that the colour blue symbolises 'trust and responsibility'. This completely links to the word commitment because commitment is all about trusting one another. However, I think that my dad picked the colour at random which means he didn't think about the significance of the colour but I still like it because there is a clear link between the word and the picture.
