'Winter park scene' March 2018 (Reflecta X120 negative scan).
Photographed March 2018 / Mamya-six folding medium format rangefinder camera (Olympus Zuicko 7.5cm/3.5) ILFORD HP5 plus rated ASA 320 developed in PYROCAT-HD (5ml A + 25ml B > 600ml, 7min 20sec @ 20*C). The negative was 'scanned' to SD card in a Reflecta X120 film scanner box unit.The image was processed & finished in Flickr. Comparing this result of scanning this (6cmx6cm) negative with that obtained by scanning the negative with an iPad mini using Film Scanner app (see the album ReflectaX120 v iPad Light Box) we see that there is little to tell them apart and certainly no vastly SIGNIFICANT improvement is obtained in using the Reflecta X120 over the light box/iPad/Film scanner app method in my opinion (although the Reflecta unit is less time consuming and more convenient to use & perhaps SLIGHTLY better resolved). Its a great pity that the manufacturers of this 'Scanner' couldn't have upped the specification somewhat though to be fair it 'does what it says on the box' without hassle & with a minimum of financial outlay.
