Daddy Long Legs Model.

The “Daddy Long Legs“ of Brighton – А unique and unusual railway running in shallow coast waters (The sea has been omitted from the model so the tracks can be seen) beside the cliffs that existed between 1896 and 1901.

Magnus Volk, its owner, designer, and engineer decided to construct a line through the surf from a pier at Paston Place to one at Rottingdean, Sussex England.

It ran on stilts running on double tracks Under The water and collected its electric current via poles from an overhead electric wire. A most unusual design.

Seen on display at Brighton (Patcham) model railway show 2018.
