Function

This small creek, if you could even call it that, winds down most of the forest that we walked through. Throughout the hike there were many different areas this creek had washed away the soil and in other areas that it build up the soil, thus having a significant affect on the forest. Not to mention the fact that every plant in this forest requires water for survival and this creek helps to provide that by slowly trickling through and softening and saturating the soil. We also can't forget the life that it supports, different mosses and other plants live along the edge of the creek and inside that wouldn't live there otherwise and this creek helps them to thrive. It also provides water for small animals, birds, and insects that live in this forest and also have an affect on its ecology.
