Life goes on
November 14th, 2015
After the attacks in Paris last night you cannot fail as a human to be affected in some way shape of form but all around the world normal life continues and your thoughts pass elsewhere if only for 90 minutes per se. The weather was chronic today, a real downpour and not one to be out in let alone trying to take photographs. Sad as it may be to admit I always liked the film Escape to Victory in which a team of Allied prisoners of war take on a German side in France at football. In the film the French spectators all start to sing la marseillaise in defiance at the Germans who occupy their lands. Whilst the enemy is different in today's world the unity and rallying cry is the same. The blue of the man watching on, the white of the goal posts and the red on the players shirts and in my head the sound of 'Victoire, Victoire!'
Paris and France will bounce back...
