Hooman Glazing
Posh Bear, Bertie and Sky sat on the sofa all looking rather warm for it was another hot day, and especially hot wearing all their fur.
“Are you going out with the man today, Sky? I think he is going out on that thingy with two wheels.” Asked Bertie.
“No, I’m giving it a rest today, Bertie. It was too hot yesterday to go out and I should have known better.”
“I did tell you Sky, but as usual you didn’t listen.” Said Posh Bear.
“I know that Posh, and I did listen but I thought if he was going to the shop, I could add a few jars of honey to what he was buying that I could share around.”
“That was very thoughtful of you, Sky.” Said Bertie. “Has anyone seen Icecap recently?”
“Yes, he is in his cold place and refuses to come out until it is cooler.” Said Sky.
“I don’t blame him; he is in the right place for a polar bear.” Said Posh Bear.
“Posh I have been wondering, I know that hoomans do daft things, but why do some go around wearing windows on their noses?” Asked Sky.
“I don’t know for sure, Sky, but I think it because some like to look out of the windows.”
“Well, yes, I did kind of gather that much myself. I just thought I must be wrong when I saw the man wearing windows but they had dark glass in them and I couldn’t see how that would enable him to see through the windows.”
“Dark glass, you say Sky? Was it dark both sides though?” Asked Bertie.
“You mean, it could have been dark on the outside looking in and clear on the inside looking out, Bertie?”
“Yes, that is what I am guessing, Sky.”
“Could be Bertie, maybe it is instead of like the net curtains that are in house windows so people can’t stare in?” Suggested Sky.
“Yes, that is a possibility, Sky. I don’t suppose you noticed if he also had nice flowery curtains on these windows too Sky?”
“I don’t think so, Bertie, but then maybe he hadn’t got around to fixing them in place. There were several people wearing similar windows that were dark and none of them had any other curtains fixed in place.”
“It could have been a special commemorative day for hoomans that want to hide their eyes. Hoomans have a lot of those special days I have noticed.” Said Bertie rubbing a paw through his fur”
“Yes, yes you might be right Bertie. I did see some that also wore masks but they weren’t doing too well.” Added Sky still in deep thought.
“Why was that Sky?”
“I think they were steaming up their windows so with them being dark glass and then steamy, they couldn’t see anything, so bumped into things and other hoomans, especially when they were in shops.”
“It is so difficult to understand them sometimes.” Said Posh and all three bears gave a deep sigh and nodded their heads in agreement.
