Protrait/Object - Mo
1.Design Principle:
I used the rule of thirds to position the chicken's head in the right third of the photo and the body in the bottom third. I used a higher ISO to compensate for the lower light in the morning because the coop is in an area with quite a few trees. I really like the position of the light from the back and side which casts a shadow on its face.
2.Camera Settings:
Aperture: 5.9
Shutter Speed: 1/250
ISO: 400
3.Intended or story Narrative (if any):
This photo shows one of my chickens in the morning at feeding time. She glanced up at me between eating and I was able to catch this shot of her. The life in their eyes, expressions, and mannerisms give each chicken a separate personality. Mo is one of the top birds in the coop who holds her own. I think this shot shows her little attitude with the expression she has.
