From this angle, the satellite pyramid bears even more resemblance to a rough pile of stones but, looking carefully it is possible to discern that the core masonry appears to have been laid in level courses, possibly indicating that it post dates the building of the Bent Pyramid - maybe even being more of a contemporary structure to the King's Red Pyramid)
