hybrid illustration

I combined a pineapple and a narwhal. I got the idea to combine them from an interesting fact I read about humans and bananas and how our genetic codes are extremely similar to a banana's genetic code. I sketched my project then scanned it, and colored and edited it on illustrator. I used the paintbrush tool and filters. Using the computer for this project was difficult because I am used to just a pen and paper. Coming up with the idea and drawing it was the easiest.
