Inside the Bell tower
The Bell tower (Giotto’s Campanile) is a free-standing campanile that is part of the complex of buildings that make up the complex of the Cathedral of Saint Mary, the main church of Florence/Italy. The tower is one of the showpieces of the Florentine Gothic architecture. Its facade has rich sculptural decorations and the polychrome marble encrustations. The tower is 84.7 metres high and stands on a square plan with a side of 14.45 metres.
