Painted Hoodoos

My hike in to these colorful clay hoodoos and spires yesterday. Native Americans used this selenite clay to make arrowheads and the beautiful colors of the sandstone were used as pottery paint. Calhan Painted Mines, a hidden beauty. Going back as soon as I can!
