20-7 Aboard the Corona
The “Corona” was a steamer that utilized side wheel paddles for propulsion. Bertram Engine Works from Toronto was commissioned by the Niagara Navigation Co. to build her in 1896. She was 260 feet long in the water and had 3 decks. She had six gun-boat style boilers that were each 8 feet in diameter. She was pulled out of service in 1920 and then scrapped in 1937.
Special thanks goes out to Alan for the lead on this vessel and you can see his wonderful collection of images here: www.flickr.com/photos/adavey/
