Irei, unarmed

Backstory: As a war for the masks of power ravages the land of Okoto, a being of legend, Irei the Valkyrie, has appeared. Irei has one purpose, slay Diaa, the corrupt Predecessor of Light, and any who stand in her way.

Cursed with immortality by the Mask of Life when she was just a child, Irei . But with immortality only comes pain. Irei has died a thousand deaths only to be resurrected and has lived thousands of years alone. Irei hunts those that seek the mask’s life giving power and eliminates them so that they too will not be cursed by the mask. Irei carries weapons gathered from the various cultures and ages which she has visited. Her sword, Randgrid is one of only a few weapons that can destroy the Mask of Life, and Irei carries it in hopes that one day she will be able to destroy the mask and end the cycle of immortality. She just needs to find the entrance to the dark realm in which the mask is sealed.

Abilities and Tools: Irei uses various tools to aid her in battle. She uses Reginleif Levitation Gear to fly freely and seemingly defy gravity in combat. She wields Eir and Randgrid, her shield and sword. Eir can absorb any blow without breaking, and Randgrid can fire powerful lasers from its tip. Irei wears a mask of translation, allowing her to speak to anyone in any age. Irei has mysterious powers granted to her by the Mask of Life. While the full extent of her powers are unknown even to her, some of her known powers are enhanced speed, agility, and strength. Despite her delicate appearance, she is strong enough to wield her two-handed sword, Randgrid, with one hand. She seems to be able charge energy over time and use that energy to activate abilities such as teleporting short distances, healing, or releasing explosive shockwaves. Her most significant trait is her immortality given to her by the mask of life. While she is not invincible and she can “die”, she will always resurrect and heal when given enough time.
