The Fall

We call it Autumn in Scotland, but I believe they call it 'The Fall' in the former Colonies - USA, Canada, etc. but they have strange ways in those far off places. They even spell colour without a 'u'. Strange indeed.

I was struck by the pile of fallen trees and branches against the backdrop of 'The Fall' colours on the River Braan at The Hermitage, Dunkeld, Scotland. Out of shot to the left is Ossian's Cave. Ossian was a 3rd century Celtic poet who is rumoured to be buried nearby.
