Davor entsteht ein neuer High-Tech-Campöus der Zeiss-AG. In einer Mitteilung des Unternehmens hieß es dazu: "Jena – der Gründungsstandort und zweitgrößte Standort weltweit – wird als einer der führenden Innovationsstandorte von ZEISS weiter ausgebaut. Dazu errichtet ZEISS ein Gebäude, in dem alle Entwicklungseinheiten sowie ein Großteil der lokal ansässigen Produktions- und Verwaltungsabteilungen angesiedelt werden. Der neue Hightech-Standort wird durch Modernität, Offenheit und die dort entwickelten und gefertigten Systeme Strahlkraft für die Hochtechnologie- und Wissenschaftsstadt Jena haben." Rund 2700 Mitarbeiter sollen dort nach jüngsten Meldungen beschäftigt werden.
A new Zeiss AG high-tech campus is being built in front of it. According to a company statement: ‘Jena - the founding location and second largest location worldwide - will be further expanded as one of the leading innovation locations of ZEISS. To this end, ZEISS is constructing a building in which all development units and the majority of the local production and administration departments will be located. The new high-tech site will be a beacon for the high-tech and science city of Jena thanks to its modernity, openness and the systems developed and manufactured there.’ According to the latest reports, around 2700 people will be employed there.
