Colonial Heights Library Community Kitchen celebration April 13, 2017
Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency and the Sacramento Public Library together with local and state elected officials celebrated the opening of a renovated community kitchen at the Colonial Heights Library, 4799 Stockton Boulevard. To complement the kitchen remodel, an outdoor storage unit has been converted to help facilitate gardening projects and community gardening classes and workshops at the library. The Library partnered with the Junior League of Sacramento through the Sacramento Public Library Foundation to develop Read & Feed, a program providing hands‐on learning on food origination and healthy eating choices.
