Kirche von Asbach
Das Asbach-Kloster ist ein ehemaliges Benediktinerkloster im bayerischen Rotthalmünster-Markt in Asbach.
Das dem heiligen Matthäus geweihte Kloster wurde vor 1091 von Christina, der Witwe des Grafen Gerold von Frauenstein und Ering, gegründet. Die Gründung fiel 1127 an Bischof Otto von Bamberg, der das Kloster einweihte.
Die Klosterkirche
Es wurde von 1771 bis 1780 im Stil des frühen Klassizismus unter Abt Rupert II. Bratsche (1775-1787) nach Plänen von François de Cuvilliés dem Jüngeren erbaut.

The monastery consecrated to St. Matthew was founded before 1091 by Christina, the widow of Count Gerold von Frauenstein and Ering. Its foundation fell to Bishop Otto von Bamberg in 1127, who inaugurated the monastery.
