Wiesenbocksbart
Die Blüten öffnen sich am Vormittag nur bei schönem Wetter, sie schließen sich gegen Nachmittag. Die gschlossenen Blüten, aber auch der Fruchtstand erinnern an den Bart eines Ziegenbocks. Die Achänen der Früche verbreiten sich wie ein Fallschirm als Schirmchenflieger, sie haften aber auch als Kletten im Fell von Säugern oder schwimmen im Wasser. Der Wiesenbocksbart ist essbar. Der junge Pflanzentrieb ist spargelähnlich und wird als Gemüse gegessen. Die Blätter werden als Salat zubereitet, die Wurzeln gekocht.
