With good weather predicted my friend Stan and I decided that it would be a good day to meet for a few hours trackside. Stan suggested we meet at Arrowhead which is former Southern territory. I was up early to see my first sunrise in the Shenandoah Valley as I drove I 64 East up over Afton Mountain. I parked my truck and walked back to the bridge and the intermediate at approach on No 1 had turned to red and I was rewarded with No 227 coming North. Don't be fooled by the intermodal, this was a turd.
