PAR Pan Am RUPO GP40-2L #507 Westbound Danville Jct., ME__n

I was with the Maine Central just over 2 years and covered many one day assignments both on the Portland and Eastern Sub Division, GSP did a fair amount as well. One of those locations was Danville Jct, I was UCOR qualified from my CPR days as was GSP. I got called one night to cover 3rd trick Danville having hung around there with friends I had a pretty good idea how the interlocking protecting the diamond worked so sure why not. I came in 45 minutes early but the 2nd trick guy was more interested in an EQ so I got a 2 minute refresher course on the interlocking. The CNR Dispatcher in Montreal had alreay issued a 19R Holding all Westward Trains. and the only thing I would see would be RB-3 who would be picking up. Got them over the diamond OK, but could not line them back giving them a lunar. The crew were all good when I told them the move was protect. This was the only time I worked there. Today PORU is on trackage that eliminated the diamond that was behind me and about halfway down this road was the station that had CN style and MEC style train order signals was located.
