While living out West I tried to t back to Maine at least once a year. In 1993 the paper mill at Bucksport was still operating at capacity and a couple of yard jobs were assigned here as well. POBK with a pair of C424's is arriving Bucksport with a respectable sized train. Today the mill is no more and it has been torn down and it its place they are going to build a salmon farm. The only business left is the removal of hazardous waste from the long closed chemical plant located in Orrington.
